Patterson, Michael

Michael Patterson was born in New York to a family of painters. At the Purchase Art College, New York he studied painting, printmaking and sculpture, graduating with honours. He has been painting for over 35 years, undertaking inspirational travel across North America, Central America and Europe, including living in France for several years.

Although his style of painting has changed over the years, his focus and interests include light and reflection on water, studies of faces, hands, clouds, sky and beach scenes and his work nearly always including the human figure.

His current home and studio are in Connecticut, U.S.A where he lives with his wife Jessyka.
