Roberts, Lancelot

Born in Manchester in 1893, Roberts spent most of his life in and around the city, moving to North Wales five years before his death in 1950.

Originally tutored by L.S. Lowry who also became a great friend, Robert's work consisted mostly of genre scenes and children's portraiture.

He exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy and the Pastel Society, being elected 'member' of both.
