Tippett, Jane
Now Cambridge based, Jane Tippett was originally born in London (1949), and initially studied at both Canterbury and Cheltenham Art Schools before completing her training at the Royal Academy Schools where she won the "David Murray Studentship for Landscape Painting" on three occasions.
Jane’s first exhibition was in 1977 with the Royal Society of Painters-Etchers and Engravers and this was followed in 1981 by an exhibition of garden views held at Agnew's Albemarle Street Gallery.
It was at this time that Jane first developed her keen interest in print making and lithography in particular.
In 1982, Jane participated in the Curwen Gallery "Interiors" Exhibition, with subsequent exhibitions of her paintings being held at the Church Street Gallery in Saffron Walden in both 1983 and 1984 and has also exhibited for many years at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
