Glasgow born and trained, Dorothy Stirling's work is very firmly rooted in the Scottish landscape.

Her distinctive style regularly depicts scenes from the western shores of Scotland, the lochs and mountains, the fishing boats and northern skies. 

Her work has proved popular and consequently, she has received numerous art awards and commissions with her paintings featured in several private and public art collections, including BBC Glasgow, and Stirlingshire Educational Trust.
