Saint Clair Cemin
Saint Clair Cemin (b 1951)
Best known as a sculptor, Cemin was born in Cruz Alta, Brazil and originally studied print making at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, in Paris between 1975 and 1978. He then moved to New York and it is from here that he begins a career in sculpture.
His work embraces a variety of styles including figurative and abstract and he works in a variety of materials including stone, wood, metal and synthetics.
The scale of his work includes at the one end, 40 foot monuments, and hand held objects at the other.
He has exhibited extensively throughout the world and currently divides his time between New York and Beijing.
