Borghi, Alfonso

Alfonso Borghi ( b 1944)

Italian painter, Alfonso Borghi first exhibited his work aged 18 and, with the help of an art collector friend, travelled to Paris where he studies Cubism. After a chance meeting with German artist, George Pielmann, himself a pupil of Kokoschka, Borghi became interested in exploring futurism and surrealism and elements of these influences are seen in his work.

Borghi’s style is distinctive and his work remains popular both in Europe and the United States and he has exhibited in Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Vienna, New York and Los Angeles.
